Banana Bread

I have decided to post my remake of amazing banana bread. We are working on keeping things healthy and yummy. Everyone loves this bread...adults and kids alike...so here it goes.

Molly's Banana Bread

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
a little less than 1/2 cup splenda brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups smashed ripe bananas

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture. Pour into 9x5 inch loaf pan.

Bake in oven for 50-60 minutes, until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool about 10 minutes.

Enjoy!

First blog

Well...here goes nothing...I have decided to start blogging in order to entertain myself and to keep family updated. I've started to get things in order to homeschool my eldest this year. Aaahhh!!! What was I thinking? Just kidding...it should be a wonderful experience for us both. We have our schedule and curriculum in order and I am now compiling lists of fun educational game websites. Can't keep our head in a book the whole time. I have discovered an amazing hidden world of homeschoolers and activities. We have plans for Legoland, the museums, the ocean, the zoo, and so on. I'm getting excited to start our new adventure. Keep your fingers crossed that we both learn new things and do not kill each other. Well...that's it for now.
